Tap lungs from bottom to top before each breathing exercise.
Take a deep breath. Hold for 3 seconds, if able. Cough 3-4 times, coughing softly in the beginning, and forcefully coughing on the last cycle.
Perform 6 cycles at a time.
Perform every 15 minutes for the first 4 hours, then every 30 minutes during awaking hours. Recommended: Sleep on your side, checking to see which side creates a higher oxygen level. Do not sleep on your back.
